Belt Filter
A dewatering device using a permeable belt and vacuum or pressure to remove water from slurries or filter cakes in mineral processing. Belt filters are used in gold, bauxite, and iron ore operations to dewater concentrates, tailings, or process residues to manageable moisture levels for disposal or further processing. The filter belt passes through wash and drainage zones, progressively removing liquid. Belt filters offer high throughput and continuous operation, making them effective for large-scale dewatering applications.
