Bouna Sylla is a distinguished Guinean lawyer, tax specialist, and mining governance expert who currently serves as Guinea’s Minister of Mines and Geology. With nearly two decades of experience in mining regulation, fiscal policy, and natural resource management, he has played a central role in shaping the country’s extractive sector. Before becoming minister in 2024, he served as Economic and Tax Advisor to the Ministry of Mines and later chaired the Compagnie du TransGuinéen (CTG). Widely recognized for his leadership on the Simandou project, Sylla is driving Guinea’s mining-led industrialization, infrastructure development, and local value-addition agenda.
