Article 5: Strategic Reserve Zones

Strategic reserve zones are created within the Republic of Guinea which are excluded from any Mining Activity and which cannot be subject of either Promotional Zones or the grant of Mining Titles.

These zones are determined by the State in order to limit the short-term over-exploitation of the country's mineral resources. No public or private company will be granted a Mining Titles for these zones and no Mining Activity may be carried on in these zones as long as they retain this status.
