A Staking permit is granted to applicants for Exploration Permits in the zones set out in Article 42, with the exception of the zones set out in Articles 111 and 112 of this Code, by the National Director of Mines, upon recommendation by the MPDC, after obtaining the opinion from the National Geology Authority.
An individual Prospecting card is issued for artisanal operation to any individual of Guinean nationality wishing to prospect for mineral substances in an artisanal manner, within a given administrative district. This card is the same as an artisanal Staking permit. The terms for the grant and renewal of the individual prospecting card are set out by regulation.
